EP162 | Don’t Let This Happen When Creating Your Membership Deliverables
Show notes
“In a world where engagement is king, it’s easy to get caught up in the never-ending cycle of content creation. But what if your content hustle is causing other crucial aspects of your membership to fall flat? This week, we’re exploring how batching and scheduling can save you time and boost engagement without sacrificing quality.”
In this episode of Memberships Launches Community, we dove into the ever-present struggle of content creation and engagement within memberships—with a special focus on avoiding burnout and staying on top of your deliverables.
I get it. Playing catch-up with your monthly content can feel like an endless game of whack-a-mole where something else—often important engagement tasks—inevitably slips. It’s a common pain point, and one I’ve seen time and time again in my Engaged in Profitable Memberships community.
This episode was packed with practical insights, and I wanted to share some of the highlights for those who couldn’t tune in. Trust me, you’ll want to take notes on this one!
We kicked off by acknowledging the heavy burden that content deadlines impose. Often, the urgency of getting content out overshadows the equally crucial task of member engagement. One core solution? Batching your content. Create months’ worth of deliverables in one go, and you’ll find that engaging with your members becomes a much more relaxed and enjoyable task.
But let’s be real, life happens, and batching isn’t always possible. That’s why I dived into actionable tips to keep your engagement running smoothly in those times too. Did you know you can schedule posts in your Facebook group up to 8 weeks in advance? Yup, just seven focused sessions a year, and you’re covered!
Automation is your friend, whether it’s using Facebook’s Admin Assist for recurring posts or setting up auto-reminders about past valuable lessons. These little tweaks can create a big shift in how you manage your community. For instance, gentle nudges reminding members of older yet crucial content can stimulate action and rekindle interest.
Later, you’ll hear about some of the engaging questions that spark interaction. From simple “What’s your favorite color?” prompts to deeper community building questions like, “If we were to get together in real life, what would we do all day?” The power of asking engaging questions cannot be understated—it’s a goldmine for generating interaction and strengthening community bonds.
We also talked about the tools available through my memberships. For example, my Burnout Free Content Creation workshop coming up soon will provide a deeper dive into my content planning process. Engage with step-by-steps guides, resources, and calculators designed to make your membership not only sustainable but thriving.
If you’re scrambling to keep up with your membership deliverables or want to overhaul how you approach member engagement, you’ll find some vital takeaways in this episode. Don’t let the juggle of content creation and engagement burn you out—manage smarter, not harder.
